Gender Perspectives in Disaster Risk Reduction, 26 November 2026, 11:00-12:00 CET
The session will feature a panel of experts who will discuss different perspectives and experiences related to gender in Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR). At the beginning of the session, each panelist will provide a brief perspective from their field of expertise. Building on these contributions, the discussion will explore the importance of gender-responsive approaches in research, policy, and practice in the fields of disaster risk reduction and natural hazard risk management.
This session is jointly organized by we4DRR and DCNA and aims to foster an open dialogue among researchers, practitioners, policymakers, and conference participants on how integrating gender perspectives can strengthen disaster resilience and risk governance.
