Expert conference „Security and gender in emergency situations“

On 22nd March, 2017 a conference on gender and DRR was held at the Palace of Serbia in Belgrade.

The Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe organised a conference on "Security and gender in emergenciy situations" in Belgrade, Serbia. The main content was how different social groups are affected by disasters and also what role media is playing in that context. International and Serbian experts in the field of disaster prevention and recovery presented and discussed in two panels on gender in the field of security and emergencies.

Among these experts Olivera Zurovac-Kuzman invited Catrin Promper and Doris Damyanovic on behalf of we4DRR to present the network and studies on this topic from different European countries to engage more members from Serbia (4 % at the moment) and also to underline the importance of the topic on political level in Serbia.
