Lecture series at BOKU - autumn/ winter 2017

The network we4DRR initiated a lecture series at the BOKU in Vienna.
Olivera Zurovac Kuzman has worked in the Organization for Security and Cooperation (OSCE), Mission in Serbia, since 2009.
The OSCE Mission to Serbia works towards building strong, independent, accountable and effective democratic institutions by cooperating with government institutions, civil society and media in the areas of rule of law and human right, democratization, law enforcement and media. On November 7 she gave a lecture titled MAINSTREAMING GENDER INTO DISASTER RISK MANAGEMENT - THE OSCE PERSPECTIVE.
Maureen Fordham is Professor of Gender and Disaster Resilience. She has been researching disasters since 1988. She has a particular interest in marginalized and, so-called, vulnerable groups in disaster including women and children in particular. She was a founding member of the Gender and Disaster Network in 1997 and is the coordinator of its website (http://www.gdnonline.org/) and activities. On December 5 she gave a lecture titled GENDER AND DISASTER: MAKING THE CONNECTIONS.
