we4DRR at the European Forum on Disaster Risk Reduction
Representatives of the European countries, stakeholder groups and partners gathered in Italy, 21-23 November 2018, for the European Forum on Disaster Risk Reduction (EFDRR).
This year's EFDRR was build on the outcomes of the 2017 EFDRR held in Turkey, 2017 Global Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction held in Mexico and aim to address key issues that can accelerate the implementation of the Sendai Framework in coherence with the Sustainable Development Goals and the Paris Agreement. The aimi was to exchange and move forward on local level resilience, economic risks and reaching the Sendai Framework 2020 priority targets.
Stephanie Oberleitner was at the conference to speak at a panel about gender sensitive drr and introduced the network and its activities. The outcomes of the whole conference will be taken forward at the Global Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction, 13-17 May 2019 in Geneva, Switzerland.
