Global Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction

Experts and representatives from all over the world met in many different working sessions, plenaries, side events and other occasions to discuss, exchange and report on the process of implementation, the way forward but also concrete good practice examples in disaster risk reduction.

we4DRR was presented at the IGNITE stage which echoed lively discussions, a lot of interest in becoming member and also for cooperation with the network.

Further the Global Platform offered the possibility to exchange with the Gender and Disaster Network at the market place. The Gender and Disaster Network is an educational and advocacy project initiated by women and men interested in gender relations in disaster contexts and therefore a highly interesting partner for cooperation and knowledge sharing.
